Attendance Requirements
Swimmers are expected to attend practice and swim meets.
You do not need to inform us if you will miss a practice.
However, please note the following:
- We encourage all swimmers to attend as many meets as they can. The meets are really fun, and swimmers can socialize with their teammates. The meets are almost like festivals: there is food, music, and lots of people having fun!
- Families are required to satisfy the volunteer requirements even if their swimmers do not attend meets. The majority of the volunteering takes place during the meets. If you know are going to miss meets, you may do multiple shifts at the meet(s) you do attend. Also, while limited, there are some non-meet volunteering opportunities; please reach out to us if you're interested.
- A swimmer must have attended least two regular season meets in order to swim at the Divisional Meet and the Invitational Meet.
- If you signed up for a meet but cannot attend, you must notify us before the meet so that we can adjust the meet roster and volunteer roster for the meet.
- We recommend that swimmers attend practices as much as they can to improve skills and technique, build strength and endurance, and increase speed.
